He Did This For Me . . .

I've read the following scripture a zillion times before

but never together, comparing them to each other.

Let me just say - I'm forever changed by it.

Matthew 27:45-46

From the sixth hour until the ninth hour

darkness came over all the land.

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice,

"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" —which means,

"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons,

neither the present nor the future,

nor any powers,

neither height nor depth,

nor anything else in all creation,

will be able to separate us from the love of God

that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness;

and be content with such things as ye have:

for he hath said,

"I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
